Region 5A Championship

Since the Region 5A Championship between MCM and Tri-Valley is in Parkston tonight at 7pm I will be going out for the game. Tri-Valley looks to get back to the State Tourney for the first time since 2008 and from what the sdhsaa.com page tells me neither McCook Central or Montrose has ever made it to state. I know Salem was there a few times, but they have never advanced to the State Tourney as McCook Central so MCM will try to advance to their first State Tourney ever.

This will be my last BBall live blog this season unless I abandon March Madness and sneak up to SuFu for the Class A State Tourney. I will start a new post for the live blog so check back tonight for updates if you are listening to one of the other Region games online. Also check back later tonight after the game and I will have some pics up and maybe even a couple post game interviews. For all of you sad that you have to wait till next season to get your Hobo jones dont worry I am working on a few ideas for weekly posts and plan on covering Sunshine League Amateur Baseball during the summer here at SB so dry those eyes people because it’s only going to get better.

Thanks to everyone who has read and supported the blog this year and a big Thank You goes out to the Sportsbuzzard and SportsMax for bringing me onto the team. Without all of them this would never have been possible.

How about some track and field coverage? There are some good athletes in your part of the state.

  2. Hutchinson County Hobo Says:

T&F really isnt my cup o tea…..but if you wanted me to cover a certain meet I would take requests on anything you would want to see or know….I do have a passion for SDHSBB but Baseball is my first love…So as a Twins fan Im crying in my Homer Hanky today after the Joe Nathan news.

  3. Feez Says:

Next time around give me some Northeastern South Dakota coverage. Give me those Groton Tigers rocking those Roncalli Cavaliers. Take it up north. Thumb it up there, Hobo.

  4. Feez Says:

Maybe get an alter ego as the Brown County Bum.

  5. Hutchinson County Hobo Says:

Feez if there is railroad tracks the Hobo can get there unfortunatly the season is over……you line up some warm stew and a hay loft to sleep in next year and we will see what we can do….
